Little Mix were crowned X Factor 2011 winner on Sunday's grand finale, beating Marcus Collins to take the title and making history by becoming the first band to win the show.
The four gals are being lauded as the next big girl band to come out of the UK, with rumours of Simon Cowell wanting to make them the next Spice Girls, and we reckon the world is ready for it!
This weekend Little Mix, Marcus and Amelia Lily battled it out to win the show as the X Factor moved to Wembley Arena for its massive two-day final.
Amelia received the fewest votes and was out of the running at the end of Saturday's show, leaving Little Mix and Marcus to sing off against each other over three songs each on Sunday.
Sunday's show began with a group song which saw all of the former finalists (minus Frankie Cocozza, obvs) join the two last acts on stage. Even Goldie Cheung made an appearance and was loving her moment back in the spotlight. As Dermot O'Leary said: "Don't milk it, Goldie."
Round one was Songs of the Series, and Marcus kicked off proceedings with 'Higher and Higher.' Louis Walsh called Marcus "soulful, amazing and likeable" and Tulisa Contostavlos predicted a "very bright future" for the lad from Liverpool.
Little Mix chose 'Don't Let Go,' and although we'd have preferred 'E.T.' the girls "smashed" it, in the vernacular of the judges. Kelly Rowland was reduced to tears of happiness for the band, while Gary Barlow hailed it a "great performance."
Round two was Christmas songs, and Marcus' rendition of 'Last Christmas' got Gary fired up enough to urge the public to vote for his act. Little Mix sang 'Silent Night' and got us all in the festive mood, including Kelly who said: "Merry fricking Christmas." Poor Dermot revealed his heart leapt into his mouth every time Kelly said that word. Ha.
Round three was the all important winner's single, 'Cannonball.' Both acts gave their version and both got praise all round from the four judges. The whole weekend was one big lovefest, really.
Following One Direction and JLS, Leona Lewis and Michael Buble on Saturday's show, the guest performances on Sunday night came from Westlife and Coldplay. There were tears aplenty over Westlife's poignant performance (we'll miss you guys) and dancing ahoy when Coldplay brought their flashing wristbands and immense sound to the arena. Best live act ever? You betcha.
