Singer Beyonce gives birth to a baby girl in New York

Singer Beyonce has given birth to a babygirl putting paid to rumours that her baby was due in February.
The baby girl has been named by dad Jay-Z  as Tiana-May Carter.

The indications were revealed this morning in tweeting messages on the social network  Twitter.
Rumors began flying earlier this week that the pop star had checked in to St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City.

The past few hours have seen  words spreading  across the world through various social networks that  she had delivered a baby daughter.

Multiple outlets picked up the story, but all cited the growing buzz on Twitter as the source of the story.
The final result of the birth is the culmination of the biggest celebrity baby story in years, and one that started with trademark dramatic flair at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

On Thursday,  there were rumours in the US that she  was due to arrive at a private hospital in New York.
Back in September, the superstar revealed that she was  due before the end of the New Year, with sources in the States claiming that she was  over nine months pregnant.
